Great all paved almost 3 miles of paths under dense mature tall trees. Spectacular damage sunset view
Overall we enjoy this park. Perfect for short nature walks for little kids. The path is paved is it’s also good for jogging with the stroller. We visit mostly for the playground though. One of our favorites in the area. It is usually shaded by the early afternoon, so the equipment isn’t hot. It’s never crowded. We’ve gone many times when no one was there. Maximum there’s another family or two there with kids, so it’s not overwhelming for our daughter.
North side trails are flatter and close to the backyards of townhouses. South side is more up and down, but feels more natural like you’re off in the woods. They recently repaved the trails, which is nice. Used to be quite bumpy from all the tree roots cracking the pavement. The trail system connects into Burke Lake if you’re looking for a longer excursion.
Nice quiet and peaceful park. Walking trails are cool not too long. Nice views. Near a Nice neighborhood too. Plenty of parking.
Great Secluded Reservoir behind homes and condos in Springfield. There is a cleared trail around the Lake. Lots of ducks, some dear and a beaver at work. There is fishing allowed but under specific rules. Great lake for jogging, biking, walking and dog walking on a leash.
