Sarah’s Heart Dog Park, conveniently located at 200 G St alongside Dunn Park, is a dedicated off-leash dog park serving the Penns Grove, NJ community. This fenced dog park features two spacious areas separated by dog size, allowing both large and small dogs to enjoy safe and playful socialization. The park’s surface is covered with mulch, and basic agility/obstacle equipment adds extra enrichment for energetic pups.
For owner comfort, while seating is limited within the fenced dog zones, benches can be found just outside the enclosures. Amenities such as water fountains (available seasonally), waste bags, and trash bins help keep the park convenient and clean for all visitors. Parking is straightforward with a large lot adjacent to the park, and the nearby Dunn Park offers additional green space to explore.
Area is residential with some commercial. Dog park is set to the side of Dunn Park. Dog Park is two 50×100 (approx) fenced areas separated by dog size (large v small dog). There are some dog activities/obstacles. It’s ‘mulch,’ but a lot of the mulch pieces are legit six to eight inch sticks. Water fountain – still on for now before shut off for winter. No benches inside the dog park, but a bench is just outside it (not super helpful). Limited to no shade. Large empty lot presumably for dog park parking. No human restrooms at dog park, but possibly in neighboring people park.
While it is not the nicest, it is a dog park and it makes my dog happy. There are benches outside the dog areas as well as a water fountain and trash cans. They provide dog bags as well. It is the first time at this park and won’t be the last!
