Great city park! Lots of activities for kids of all sizes. Plenty of seating and shaded areas. Always good to see parents bringing their kids out, and it’s good place for our girls to meet new kids and have someone to play with. The new fitness area is a really nice addition. They only thing we don’t like is that pets aren’t allowed. We get it,but it’d be nice for those who have friendly and good dogs.
Perhaps the oldest established park I’ve ever been in. Bridges built during the Work Progress Administration. Nice little gem. Huge water fountain. It’s easy to imagine this park filled with the sound of kids during nice weather. Nice 1/4 mi walking path. Little Free Library also present.
There were no picnic tables or bathrooms. Bear in mind that is a subtle hint that the city does not want you to stay long or pay for cleaning and trash service. Definitely not inviting, especially for us visiting from out of town. The playscapes are huge and full of great slides and climbing equipment but has fallen behind in maintenance. There were mud puddles at the bottoms of the slides and the grounds bare of mulch. Broken, cracked and unsafe play equipment with the most concerning being one of the clear domes missing from the toddler playscape. Disappointed with our visit after reading nice reviews. We won’t return and locals should demand a better return for their investment.
This is a great place to walk and kill time if you are waiting on someone at the hospital. There’s some nice play ground equipment for the kids, even swings for handicapped in wheelchairs. The bathrooms are questionable, usually there is no toilet paper.
Very family friendly park for not only kids, but adults as well. Slides, swings, jungle gym, monkey bars and even basketball courts! There is generally alot of kids playing when weather is nice.
