Located in a peaceful residential area at 5000 Vista Del Norte Dr NE, Albuquerque, Bernardo Trails Park offers a welcoming, family- and pet-friendly atmosphere. This well-maintained park is perfect for dog owners looking for a relaxing spot to walk and play with their pets. While not exclusively a dog park, it’s a favorite stop for travelers needing a place for their dogs to stretch their legs, thanks to its expansive open field and easy-access parking—not far from the highway and Balloon Fiesta Park.
The park features scenic walking paths, shaded areas, and plenty of green space for your four-legged friends. It is also equipped with a playground, basketball court, and picnic tables, making it ideal for families. Note that there are no restrooms or dog waste bag stations, so visitors should plan accordingly. The park’s quiet setting, neighborhood safety, and spectacular views of hot air balloons during the Fiesta add to its unique charm.
Great place to go with your family and kids
Nice park! Good shade.
New favorite park for my kiddos. They really enjoyed it. The basketball court was also a plus! Great condition!
I love the parks w/in the VDN neighborhood. They are all well maintained and hot air balloons use our neighborhood parks to take off and land every day of the Balloon Fiesta!
It’s a very small park, but it has a sidewalk to walk on, picnic tables, and a swing set for the kids. It’s also not heavily trafficked, so it’s easy to socially distance. It’s in a good neighborhood, so it feels overall safe.
