It was our first time at Skaneatelas Dogs and we had a very positive experience. Our nervous Old English Sheepdog, Fergus, met John beforehand and sniffed around so he was a bit familiar when we returned for grooming. Caitlin did a fantastic job on shaping his fur and giving him a comfortable summer cut without losing the Old English Sheepdog look.

We have a 6-month-old lab with a lot of energy, so we were nervous at first about bringing her to get groomed for the first time. It felt like bringing your kid to their first day of kindergarten! But John was incredible throughout the whole process. He walked us through the entire facility, let our puppy play around and get comfortable with the area, and was so kind and loving that we knew she was going to be well taken care of. The whole experience was wonderful, and she came out looking like a star! We absolutely love Skaneateles Dogs and would recommend it to everyone! Absolutely 12/10! Thank you, John, for all that you do!
We absolutely love Skaneateles Dogs! John and team do a wonderful job with my boys. Not only do they look and smell great after their visit – they clearly have a great time while they’re there. I don’t hesitate to leave them in Skan Dogs’ hands. I’m especially impressed with how well they’ve tackled my husky’s thick coat. These are active farm dogs who love to roll in things they shouldn’t. I so look forward to grooming days. I could not recommend enough!
John did a fantastic job on my double coated American Akita! Not only did his groom looking amazing, but when I picked him up he was happy and comfortable, which tells me that time was taken to gain his trust. GREAT groomer and very reasonably priced.
Shhh…these guys are one of CNY’s best kept secrets! I am so impressed with the wonderfully personalized experience I just had at Skaneateles Dogs Grooming. My dogs were clean, soft, smelled great, and most of all, were relaxed and happy when I picked them up. Beth and John are truly kind and skilled people who absolutely love dogs, know what they’re doing, and have a beautiful facility. I’ll be returning on the regular. Highly recommended!
