Easy to walk Gorge Trail by the river, partially paved, mostly flat (slight incline in one area) hike through the woods. Trail is free of debris and well maintained. Many opportunities to overlook the river and snap photos. Trail is mostly shaded with small pockets of sun peaking through the trees. Trail seemed dog friendly and wasn’t crowded on a Saturday. Plenty of parking nearby as well as restrooms, water fountains, benches, picnic tables, and playgrounds for the kids.

It is one of the most beautiful places I have been for hiking. There are great landscapes in such a short distance. Do not miss it!!!

NULL daily fee/NULL annual – Can pay at entrance. Quiet walking paths, small water fall, larger playground area, 1800s recreated village, picnic areas throughout

Very interactive playground, great for many ages. Clean bathrooms, helpful staff, multiple trails for different activity levels. The nature center also has an indoor section for kids to play and plenty of animals to learn about as well. Lots of shade to relax and super pet friendly.

Sharon woods is a neat place to go with your family or even by yourself. I enjoyed strolling through the historic village while my husband played vintage base ball. There are also beautiful walking trails through the woods.
