Great small campground with both back in and pull through sites. All sites have water and electricity (30amp). Sites are paved with a picnic table and shade pergola over the table. Each campsite also has a firepit and a nice grassy area. The day use area of the state park has a beach, picnic area, large kids playground. The marina has boat launch ramps and curticy docks. Lots of places to fish from the shore.
Best kept secret in Utah Valley! Beautiful spot to enjoy nature. Hike along the Provo River estuary, watch the ducks, geese, and pelicans looking for food in the water, and watch the sunset. 5-6 boat ramps and plenty of parking for trucks and trailers. Opportunities to boat, kayak, sail, fish, and all water sports.
We got here early (8am) on the 24th and it wasn’t crowded at all- we had our pick of the place! It was getting busier when we left around 3pm. Bring shade, chairs, and paddle boards for a great time! There were a ton of mayflies, and when I say a ton, I mean like clouds from The Mummy (you know that scene where he “eats” the plane as a sandstormNULL Like that). We had to beat about a hundred of them off our chairs before sitting, couldn’t leave the food open, obviously. That was the biggest downside. No mosquitoes that I saw. There’s shaded pavilions and unshaded picnic tables. People were being respectful.
Visited Utah Lake State Park in late April and had an amazing experience! The views were stunning — especially in the late spring when the skies are clear and the weather is just right. The mountains in the background with the lake in front make for some incredible photo opportunities.
Parking was plentiful, which made it super convenient even on a busy weekend. The entry fee is NULL per vehicle or NULL for pedestrians, which felt fair considering all the amenities the park offers.
This spot is great for fishing — we saw quite a few people casting lines from the docks and shoreline. There’s also a lot of open space for camping and picnicking, with shaded areas and tables that are perfect for families or groups. Whether you want to relax by the water or have a full picnic setup, there’s room for it all.
Water sports are definitely a highlight here. People were out boating, kayaking, and jet skiing — it’s clearly a popular spot for lake activities once the weather starts to warm up.
