Once was of the finest parks or Greenways I had been to. Very lovely! However, things are changing. The creek is dying from excessive salt that is put on the roads and getting into the aquifer. The stream buffers are nearly gone and they keep cutting down the trees and vegetation the insects use to live and mate, as well as provide shade for the creek. We just need manage for the next 100 years and not depend on the sparse 1 tree deep buffer along the creek, and continue to cut down trees etc. We. They also remove a lot of dead trees from the creek so they don’t ruin bridges and water intake, but the fish could benefit from some natural structure. Still a lovely park. Watch for weird stuff going on in the woods above the fish hatchery.
Spectacular park. Lots of trails for walking and biking. Great for pictures and wildlife viewing
I stopped after work and wasn’t able to spend too much time exploring, but it’s a beautiful park and I’m looking forward to going back when I can spend more time.
Really enjoy driving around seeing all the different covered Bridges. They are unique in their own way. There are a lot of Covered Bridges all through out this area.
Lehigh Parkway is a nice area that’s basically a park like setting. The area has a nice trail circling it. There are areas with steeper hills and the trail is predominatly packed gravel. There are several interesting sites along the way including a Native American site and a trout hatchery. There are several parking areas with trailheads. The full trail is maybe a little over 6 miles around
