Stayed in the Rustic Inn motel 2 nites 9/14 & 15th, 2025 and it was great. The owner is exceptional, delightful, hardworking, and makes sure your stay is comfortable. Rooms and grounds are very clean and the way the motel is angled, it was even quiet during the road construction. The owner runs a tight ship and I would definitely stay here again if in Ely. The only thing I might ask for is a little less scented cleaner in the room, but will pass that on as her extra care of the place and customers. We stayed an extra day to check out the town, museums and history; it was well worth it!
What a wonderful little jewel of a roadside motel. Clean room, comfortable surroundings, friendly manager. Great price. Lovely outdoor seating and grill area. Will definitely stay here again.
My wife and I stayed for one night on a road trip; our first time in the Ely area. The Owner/Manager, Vera, is friendly and very kind. Our room (#10) was scrupulously neat and clean. Fridge, microwave, coffeemaker iron/board were included, along with some thoughtful extras like bottled water and breakfast/snack bars. This is a well-restored/maintained older motor court style motel in a safe, clean area. The court area was attractive with chairs, tables and benches; we sat outside and enjoyed the sunset and early evening. The room had new carpet, lighting, dual-pane windows (quiet!), shower, decor. The bed was comfortable; we added a 2” memory foam topper (we’ve learned to travel with one on road trips) and made it even better. The rooms are small, standard outside-entrance motel rooms – not a ton of space, but park right in front, no stairs to climb – great for a night or two. Looking forward to a nice dinner in Ely based on Vera’s advice. We’ll definitely return when we travel this way again!
The Rustic Inn is anything but rustic. This motel is extremely clean inside and outside.
Our room had all the amenities that we could want: coffee, bottled water, a snack, coffee maker, coffee, refrigerator, and microwave. Clean bedding and bath. Vera, the owner, saw us sitting outside, and she stopped to make sure we had everything we needed. Never has that happened anywhere I’ve ever stayed.
The landscaping is really nice.
My favorite was being able to sit outside my room in the morning, basking in the morning sun, and sipping my coffee. Ahhhh….My kind of place. I wish I could give you ten stars on this review. Thank you Ms Vera.

Vera is super friendly and fun to talk to. She goes above and beyond to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
We loved the room. It’s small but it has everything you need and is decorated in a way that makes sense. Our room was very clean, smelled great and was very comfortable.
The room had a little snack and some water bottles. It also had better coffee than you’ll normally get in other hotels.
