Amazing reservuar with a stunning paved hiking trail. Takes about 1.5 miles / 45 minutes to walk. There are lots of beautiful wildlife birds around.
While walking a lap around the reservoir you may notice a sign in the corner by the dam directing you up stairs to Tulip Springs. This is the trailhead for the orange green trail that leads a short distance to the Tulip Springs parking area. The trail is narrow, rough, and rocky. Along the way you’ll pass the old Boy Scouts cabin and outhouse. You’ll also pass through the barbed wire fence that used to protect the reservoir when it was used for drinking water.
