Discover Parksley Park, a charming pet-friendly destination nestled in a peaceful, safe neighborhood in Parksley, VA. This park stands out for its extensive walking and biking trails—over ten miles—winding through vibrant wildflowers, scenic cranberry bogs, and a picturesque pond, making it a top choice for dog-friendly hiking and nature walks in Accomack County. With plenty of shade and quiet areas to unwind, it’s perfect for locals and travelers seeking space for a relaxing stroll with their canine companions.
Parksley Park is especially great for families, featuring a well-loved (though aging) playground, complete with multiple slides, climbing structures, and a crowd-favorite zip line. There’s ample seating for park-goers, with benches and a gazebo for comfort. You’ll also find nearby amenities such as a shared parking lot with the local library and easy access to local stores and eateries within walking distance. While some playground equipment and trash facilities could use more maintenance, the natural beauty and pet-friendly trails more than make up for these minor challenges.
Nothing to do there my nephew hated it couldn’t get on anything they took a lot of stuff down and the park is not clean and need to be fixed
Quaint lil park, peaceful and quite, found in a safe neighborhood. Local stores and eateries within a fair walking distance.
Safe, old school placescapes kept up occasionally by Navy volunteers.
Fun park in a nice quiet neighborhood.
I love this park, it’s the only park in Accomack County that we can go to and actually feel like we belong! But over the last few years they haven’t kept it up the Merry go round could use some fixing up and a paint job! The swing broke when I sat on it….ugh it’s just a mess now. I hope the town sees fit to fix it up soon I love taking my grandsons there
This park used to be pretty good. The street hockey court is nice. But the equipment is in disrepair, and they never seem to dump the trash cans. Coming here in the summer time especially when it’s hot isn’t fun when you’re worried about your kid catching tetanus, dealing with the stink of overflowing trash cans, and getting attacked by flies. If the town of Parksley would address these issues, I would be willing to give this place a higher rating.
