Located at 601 Tanger Dr, Chase Maddox Park is a popular family-friendly park in Locust Grove, Georgia, that features a dedicated dog park shaded by pine trees. The park has a welcoming vibe for pets and people alike, offering plenty of tree cover and a sizeable fenced-in space where dogs can enjoy safe, off-leash play. Unique in the area, both small and large dogs have their own generously sized and securely gated areas – with the small dog area noted as unusually spacious – making it easy to find a comfortable spot for every pup.
Amenities for owners and their furry friends include shady benches, new and clean restrooms, and a water fountain equipped with a bottle filling station. There are also walking paths, a playground, and sports facilities nearby, making it a great destination for the whole family. While the dog park is a peaceful place to unwind or socialize, reviews suggest keeping an eye on maintenance updates and potential closures, especially for bathrooms and water sources during certain times of the year.
