Located in the serene heart of Charlotte, North Carolina, Edgehill Park is a beautiful, free-to-access public park that offers pet-friendly walking trails, shaded green spaces, and open lawns perfect for dog owners and their furry companions. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful stroll, a dog-friendly hiking spot, or a place for your dog to explore new scents, Edgehill Park stands out among Charlotte’s pet-friendly parks. The park is nestled in a tranquil neighborhood and is known for its lush tree canopy, scenic walking paths, and friendly local atmosphere.
While Edgehill Park doesn’t feature a dedicated off-leash or fenced dog park, it provides plenty of open space and shaded areas for on-leash walks. Amenities include beautiful walking trails, playgrounds for kids, tennis and basketball courts, a calisthenics area, picnic tables, and plenty of benches for owners to relax. There is street parking available nearby, but keep an eye on signage as spaces can be limited. With its welcoming ambiance and regular maintenance, Edgehill Park is a hidden gem for Charlotte dog lovers and families alike.
Love this park! Toddler friendly with tons of shade especially at summer time!
One of my favorite places to hit a Tennis ball! Parking is a little tricky.
Great neighborhood park with playground. Quiet and well maintained. There is exercise equipment, slides, climbing net, swings, and “rocking dinosaur”. Immediately next to tennis courts.
Nestled in a high class neighborhood between N and S Edgehill streets. Street parking is available, but limited. Watch the signs.
Cute little neighborhood park, and pretty well shaded. You can park on the neighborhood streets between the signs. Several other families came by while we were here.
Love this park! Just the right mix of recreation and leisure. There’s a tennis court, playground, grill area, and my favorite, the calisthenics park! My ONE critique – the ground around the calisthenics area needs attention. There are a few deep holes that need to be filled. Nevertheless, I always get a great workout at Edgehill Park!
