Livingston Dog Park offers a peaceful and open spot for local pet owners looking for a quiet, low-traffic environment for their dogs. Situated in Livingston, NJ, this dog park is known for being wheelchair accessible and pet-friendly, allowing dogs to enjoy some exercise off-leash in designated areas. A unique feature of the park is its blend of a traditional dog run with access to simple, natural trails – perfect for dog-friendly hiking or short strolls with your pet.
The park has a separate space for small and large dogs, making it a safer and more comfortable experience for dogs of all sizes. You’ll find plenty of benches for seating, so owners can relax while their pups play. The park tends to be less crowded, making it an excellent choice for those seeking a more laid-back atmosphere. While the park itself is described as no-frills, the nearby unpaved trails provide a welcome addition for those looking for pet-friendly trails for walking and light exercise. Note that trails can become muddy or rocky, especially after rain.
Nice and all the dogs got along
Not just a dog park, has some nice little trails for walking if you need to clear your head
Mediocre at best. South mountain reservation dog park way better! What’s up Livingston?? Trails are rocky muddy and unpaved and loaded with fallen trees and poorly marked
No frills dog park with a separate space for small dogs. Oddly had a lot of benches – not complaining, it just seems unnecessary and would be better to have equipment for the dogs. I gave only two stars mainly because the two elderly women with golden retrievers I encountered were nasty, and didn’t pick up after their dogs. I agree with another reviewer that it’s a good place if you’re looking for a quiet low traffic environment as it doesn’t seem very popular.
Rarely any dogs here. Owners don’t pick up after their dogs. Ok place. South mountain is better but if you want to give your dog some low key exercise or training this is a good place.
