Located in Manhattan, First Street Green Cultural Park offers a unique spot for dog owners seeking an off-leash dog run in New York, NY. Nestled amidst vibrant street art and murals, this compact dog park provides a convenient option for local residents looking for a dedicated area for their furry friends to play and socialize. The park is well-shaded by surrounding buildings, helping dogs and owners stay cool during summer visits.
Although the space is on the smaller side and features a gravel/sand mix surface, it is appreciated for being secure and clean, with a fenced perimeter and water station for dogs. Seating is available for pet owners, and the park also supplies poop bags and waste stations to help everyone do their part in keeping the space tidy. If you’re visiting the Lower East Side, this is one of the few dedicated dog runs in the area, making it a valuable community resource for canine recreation.
I sat down there and the concentrated scent of urine was so powerful it burned my eyes
This place was great! Lots of really intriguing artwork. My favorite was the eyes with the colorful paint splashes.
I was on a self-guided walking food tour of Greenwich Village and decided to take a walk through this alley on the way to have a knish across the street at Yonah Schimmel’s Knish Bakery. I’m so glad I did! The raw street art was an unexpected hidden treasure I might have otherwise missed. I was able to feel the artists’ passion.
Always love the change and installation of continuous art. Various artist from all over the city, I’d guess the US and the World post up in this exquisite park. In the summer the mosquitos are prevalent. You may see a rat or two all year round,,, Hey it’s the Norwegians rat
what do you expect. They’ve laid traps. Haven’t seen any the last 3 times I were there.
Amazing street art to be seen here! So glad we saw this! Took a fun Graffiti Workshop by Graff Tours… if you have an artist in the family, this was a very unique experience!
