Lion’s Memorial Park in Mansfield Center, Connecticut, is a dog-friendly community destination perfect for families and pet owners. Known for its scenic beauty and peaceful atmosphere, the park offers pet-friendly hiking trails, meadows, and serene walking paths along the river. Dog owners can enjoy strolls surrounded by lush foliage, birding opportunities, and even the sight and sound of a beautiful waterfall, making it an ideal spot for leisurely walks with your dog.
While not a dedicated fenced dog park, Lion’s Memorial Park is widely praised as a dog-friendly spot where leashed dogs are welcome. Visitors appreciate the well-marked trails, plenty of natural shade from mature trees, benches for taking in the views, and gardens with blooming flowers. The park also features parking facilities – though on busy days, spaces may fill up quickly. Families will find meadows, a playground, and nearby picnic areas, rounding out this pet-friendly gem in Mansfield Center.
Great for what it is. Only downside is that it can look a little scraggly when its not mowed.
The soccer fields spread out, parking isn’t easy, It would definitely be a good idea to find out what field your team is playing on.
Located on the same road as the town dump, so Saturdays are not good days to visit. Alot of dump traffic will slow your exit from the park to get back on the road.
I’m really glad my kids play soccer here. Not only are there nice soccer fields here, and usually ample parking, but also lots of really cool hiking trails.
Side note: I’ve found a lot of cool rocks here.
I enjoyed my hiking experience today on the outskirts of the park. Trails were well marked and pretty clear. The water level is currently quite high so the area around the bridge was flooded and icy. So for a few minutes things got a little slippery.
