Watsessing Dog Park, located at 78-88 Locust Ave in Bloomfield, NJ, is a popular destination for dog owners seeking a convenient place to let their pets run, play, and socialize. As a dog-friendly park, it provides separate areas for small and large dogs, allowing for safer interactions based on size and temperament.
The park is well-known among locals for being open late — usually until 10 pm — which makes it a convenient option for evening visits. While there have been some concerns about cleanliness and maintenance cited in reviews, visitors can still enjoy the benefits of a fully fenced space to let dogs off-leash. The proximity to Bloomfield’s pet-friendly community makes this spot accessible and welcoming for kids and families as well.
Closes at 10 pm but I’ve gone after 10 pm without problems. Great place, usually clean
It’s not very clean, dog found dead mouse and racoon inside.
Very Very Nasty 😷The Upkeep Not Clean At All Plus There’s Never Any Dog Bags…….Watessing You Must Up Your Game To Do BETTER!!……Poop Everywhere That Needed To Be Gotten Up Very Displeased With Watessing Park!!
very disappointed, holes under the fence where small dogs such as my own can crawl under. Im disgusted with the trees on the large dog side which contains dozens of spotted laternflys all over the tree. People can’t even sit on the bench over there because of this issue! We need someone to exterminate this bugs!
I took my 4 month old puppy here for the first time. I’m very disappointed. The small dog area has gaps and holes under all the fences which would make it very easy for a dog to escape and run out into the street. I had to take him into the large dog side which still has a hole under the fence to connect making it easy to reach the small dog side. I am very disappointed in this park.
