It’s a wonderful place. Right at the beginning of the trail, we encountered a bear. After that, the rest of our journey went smoothly. Take care ❤️

Nice park with plenty of hiking trails. Great view of the NYC skyline from the Top of Tourne. Take the red trail to the yellow trail for the view. Make sure to take the side trail to Mouse Cradle Balancing Rock.

Great park and community. Recently moved to the area with a 1 year old lab whose needs for open spaces and things to chase and smell are certainly being met here. Trails range in difficulty. Park is kept spotless by its users. Plenty of picnic tables and facilities to grill. Even though it’s against park rules plenty of dogs off leash.

Great hiking/mountain biking/running. Birchwood Lake trail loops into Mountain Lakes and is easy to moderately difficult but can be rugged in some areas. You can hike the loop in about 1.5 hours.

There is also a very steep trail to the top of Tourne mountain with spectacular views to NYC. There are also many other trails as the park is quite large.

Restrooms and kids park. Plenty of parking, a pavilion and picnic tables. There are two park entrances.

Highly recommend this beautiful park.

Awesome park, some trails are good for walking and some are good for hiking. Park is clean, restroom was available near parking lot. Not that many people around on a summer Friday evening. Limited parking space available. Kids playground is there near parking lot. Nice place to visit.
