One of our favorite dog parks! 🙂
We’ve been to slidell twice now for work and both times we’ve spent a lot of time playing at this park. The location is great, it’s quiet and there is pretty scenery around. We went mostly earlier in the day so there weren’t too many dogs there. The fenced in area is huge! They have two sides too, one for small dogs and one for bigger dogs. My dog has never tried any agility courses before but here she jumped right on them and had so much fun!
There is a kitty pool next to the water fountain so it’s okay if you forget to bring water!
My heart sank on the way out when I saw the dog memorial💔 that is so thoughtful, I’ve never seen one before at a dog park!

Small dog park, not much grass, lots of dirt which is muddy for a couple days after a soaking rain. On the plus side, the people I’ve met there are nice, and I haven’t personally seen any serious incidents between dogs (or their owners). I live on the other side of Slidell, and usually opt to drive to Mandeville to the dog park at Pelican Park. That one is FAR superior.

They had the water shut off… And the water available was warm and gross, my dogs weren’t even interested in there. My Shepard is getting older and having some joint issues and there are a lot of rocks in the play area which is hard on her so she was not interested or impressed with this park.

WARNING: If you see a man with three pitbulls, maybe consider coming back another time. He might convince you that he’s got decent control over them, and he sort of does, but not all of the time. It’s just simply too much dog for one person to handle, not to mention having more than two dogs per handler is against the rules and irresponsible. All three of his dogs ganged up on my dog over a week ago. My dog is still healing and having nightmares. Also, be careful with the German Shepherds. There’s at least two there (separate handlers) that don’t play real nicely. Otherwise, all of the other dogs we’ve met there have been great.

My dogs have had mostly great experiences at this dog park. My dogs loved how large both sides of the dog park were. It gets muddy, so just be mindful. We came here a few times per week to play a good game of fetch. It was great while we were in town.

Love it here. There are two parts to this park, one for little guys and one for bigger dogs. Our little one went in with the big dogs and there were no problems. They have two pools, 3 watering stations with bowls (that can be moved at will) and drinking fountain for us. There are plenty of agility objects for them. Benches and tables for us. Shady and sunny spots, grass and sand areas. Plenty of baggy/trash stations. this is the nicest doggie park I’ve been to.
