Drove through to check it out. Shade awning at each site. Pit toilets. Dolores river nearby. Decent winter camping spot. Probably hot in the summer. Only a handful of campers there. Probably about 25-30 sites.

Nice, well kept campsite. ? a night. Only complaint is it seemed the water spout was locked. Maybe for the season? Stayed here before going to Mesa Verde, although it was far away, all the campsites near the park are sooo expensive so this was worth it!

Absolutely a great place to launch a river trip because the Dolores is running high enough right now to launch solo if you’re brave enough to take the plunge.

Nice campground. The reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is due to the noise from semi trucks driving down to the Dolores River access road to fill up with water. If you’re campsite is deeper into the campground you might not hear them.
