Surprised by this quaint little park! Restrooms were well kept, the trails were adventurous, plenty of cool stuff to look at and read to learn about. Plenty of benches and swings to sit and relax along the riverside trail.
It was a FUN mother’s day picnic!!! We didn’t get to hike due to a continuous rain but it didn’t stop our picnic because it’s all a covered area. We will go back for the hike and another picnic.
Great park, easy and quick access to the shoals from parking but there’s also a nice wooded loop trail.
It was a nice day at the park until I spotted several places, next to a living stream, that had apparently been sprayed to kill the kudzu. It made me quite uncomfortable, not knowing what was used to kill the plants.
My kids love to go to play in this park. It’s accessible. There are barbecue areas, a pretty river, and nice areas to go for a walk and appreciate nature.
