Located at 12804 Strickland Rd, Strickland Road Neighborhood Park is a serene and welcoming spot for families and dog owners looking to enjoy the outdoors in Raleigh, North Carolina. This park is known for its pet-friendly atmosphere, shaded picnic areas, and relaxing nature trails that wind around beautiful ponds. Dogs are welcome to visit the park, making it a great destination for walking your furry friend along the scenic, tree-lined paths.
The park features accessible picnic tables, a playground for children (with separate areas for ages 2-5 and 5-12), and plenty of benches and shade, making it family-friendly and comfortable even on warmer days. Although there is no designated off-leash or fenced area specifically for dogs, the tranquil environment and easy trails offer a wonderful experience for dog owners who enjoy leashed walks and pet-friendly hiking in Raleigh. Please note, public restrooms are not available, but there is a port-a-potty with hand sanitizer on site.
A lovely trail through trees and around the lake. So easy to get to and a kids playground too. Trail isn’t long but nice and easy
Great little neighborhood park with plenty of shade. They have a seperate area for little kids (2-5) as well as for bigger kids (5-12). There is also a nature trail.
This is a very small park. They don’t even have bathrooms. There is a port-a-potty however it was acceptably clean. They even had hand sanitizer inside. There is a picnic table as well. There are plenty of trees, shade, and benches. I believe there is a trail and pond but I didn’t explore that far.
A peaceful retreat from the busy hubbub of the city, Strickland Road Neighborhood Park features a number of nature trails that meander through the park. There is also a playground for children ages 2 to 12 which is great for helping those little ones burn off some energy.
The park has several shaded picnic areas with benches. There two ponds which add to the tranquil nature. I did not spot any restrooms here and there is not much parking so be prepared on sunny days in nice weather.
I had a very pleasant visit and would definitely return.
Beautiful large pond with rustic trail around it. Excellent playground with lots of options.
