We had a nice time hiking here. The shade and old growth trees were beautiful. Day use fee was NULL and the machine past the entrance takes credit/debit and cash. The main trail is accessible and well marked. My only gripe is that if you venture off (like we did) to do a longer loop, there are no trail markers at intersections leaving you to hope you’re going the right way. Take a picture of the map before you head out and follow the creek if needed to get back to the main trail and suspension bridge. The longer loops take you up several switchbacks through an old growth forest and then back down the other side and near the creek. There are stunning views throughout. Near the parking area by the creek are several picnic tables. We enjoyed lunch at a table next to the creek. There are also 4 covered picnic areas for reservation at varying prices. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. We saw 2 beach volleyball areas, horseshoes, and a baseball field, along with a play structure. The signage noted a fee for camping but another sign said, “no overnight camping.” We saw several fire pits near picnic tables that looked like potential campsites. Definitely check the website for more info if needed. Overall, it was a beautiful place and we’ll probably be back for a picnic and walk again soon.
Fun place we went for day use. It wasn’t busy at all so had the pace to ourselves. Lots of trails picnic areas and places to hang out by the water. I put pictures up of the prices. I will definitely bring the fam back to hang again.
A county park with a river, plenty of trails, a nature walk with kids activities, and just wonderful super tall trees and forest with moss and all kinds of plants. A calm and cool place to be in the summer. The trail signs could be much better marked though (we should’ve downloaded a trail map before coming). Cell phone signal is weak in the area.
Quiet and nice park. Great for kids and dogs to play with water. The parking fee increased to NULL.
Okay this place is an absolute gem! 💎 Play ground, suspension bridge, gazebo, volleyball pit, sand box, Lots of really well kept trails, so many beautiful places to sit along the river and play in the water, the whole park is so clean and we’ll groomed, on site grounds keeper very kind, information stand tells the times and parking is less then ten dollars.
