This is a great dog park on a peninsula in the Colorado river. Its name is the Silt Island Dog park. Friendly, off leash dogs are welcome.

Staying at the KOA, stumbled upon this place. Should have brought insect repellent, as all if a sudden after 1/3 mile the bugs started biting. Trails were a little thich with overgrowth, so we detoured to more open trails. Started to walk on the road and that’s when we saw this smiling pooch, off-leash. She followed us across the bridge, then went over to the homes. We saw her again back near the parking lot. What a happy dog! Now that I looked this park up I see she/he is Giovanni! Wish I’d snapped a picture!

Nice area for hiking, we went there to hike down to the water & fish. We did see quite a few people walking their dogs, the area was clean & had plenty of parking
