This park is right in the center of some.of the worst looking apartments in the Grand Valley. Very rundown neighborhoods, not a place it would take my kids if you don’t live there and I would be hesitant to if I did.
Playground equipment is definitely for older kiddos.. everything was too big for my 3(almost 4yr old) my 5(almost 6 yr old) could manage but needed help.
There’s 2 picnic table and 2 BBQ pits. Very nice play structure and a basket ball court. Large trees for shade and the grass is well maintained.
This park has potential but it has a lot of broken glass and graffiti, that you dont want your young child to see, written in the play equipment. The main concern about this park is that there are a lot of delinquents that frequent the park and there are a lot of crimes being committed there. Children get beat up daily by neighborhood bullies. Highly recommend taking kids to a safer park to play.
They sell drugs & do drugs in this Park where children would love to play but the city refuses to do anything about the illegal events going on in this Park. This is so sad. What is going to be done about this huh? Shouldn’t residents children be able to play in this Park? Action needs to be taken. It’s the City’s Responsibility to make sure the Parks are safe for children as well as adults.
