Oakwood Dog Park is one of Raleigh’s most beloved dog-friendly destinations, conveniently located at 910 Brookside Dr, Raleigh, NC 27604. Known for its vast, well-shaded grounds, this park is a favorite among local pet parents for providing one of the largest off-leash play areas in the area. The park offers ample seating and picnic tables, making it just as welcoming for owners as it is for their pets. Water fountains are available for both dogs and people, and public restrooms are conveniently located nearby. With an abundance of towering trees, you and your dog can enjoy cool shade even on hot days, while wheelchair-accessible paths and parking make the park inclusive for everyone. Cleanliness and friendly dog owners help make Oakwood Dog Park a standout spot for dog lovers exploring pet-friendly trails in Raleigh!
The most shade & trees of any dog park that I’ve been too thus far!! It’s also the biggest!! A lots of picnic tables & chairs if you just want to relax & watch your 4 legged friend run around & play with others if his kind & just explore the world around them 💖
Great dog park. Shaded and open. Usually very clean. One side for small dogs, one for large dogs. Always some dogs there so playtime for Fido.
My favorite dog park in Raleigh! It’s massive, typically well kept, and a great place to run your dog (large or small). Has running water, plenty of seating/shade, and public restrooms right outside the park.
Brought our two pups here; they had a great time. There is a small dog park and a large dog park. The dogs were all well behaved, and dog owners were never too far away in case anything went awry.
Definitely more of a dirt dog park than grass. Plenty of seating around in case one wanted to take a seat while doggos play.
BEST DOG PARK EVER!!
I am not an outdoor type at all. I have to make myself take the pups out.
This park was wonderful. Tons of tree coverage. You don’t feel too hot or exposed at all. Lots of space for the pups and a great place to walk yourself. I will definitely go back. Take the pups. You’ll thank me later!
