Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Torreon Park is a beautiful community space conveniently located at 1515 W Alameda St in Santa Fe, New Mexico. While not a dedicated dog park, it is a welcoming spot for dog owners who enjoy strolling with their pups on pet-friendly trails under the shade of tall trees. The park offers inviting, grassy areas and a relaxing local vibe, making it a favorite for neighborhood dog walkers seeking a peaceful outing in Santa Fe.
It’s important to note that Torreon Park does not have a fenced dog area; dogs are required to be on leash at all times to ensure their safety and respect for nearby residences. The park features scenic walking paths, picturesque trees creating natural shade, playgrounds for kids (one of which is fenced for toddlers), and plenty of space to relax. The pleasant setting makes it a popular stop for families and dog owners alike looking for dog-friendly activities in Santa Fe. However, be aware that this is not an off-leash area and responsible dog ownership is expected while visiting.
Don’t be fooled this park looks small when you pass by but when you stop it actually goes pretty far back. There’s lots of really nice grass, 2 playgrounds with the toddler playground fenced in which is a plus. There’s also a nice path around the park to walk, the scenery is so nice lots of tall trees and the majority of the neighboring houses have vines on their fences with flowers. The only down side was I saw 2 random bras in different locations of the park and the cotton flying off the trees was overwhelming. I would recommend this park.
This is my secret spot to run my dogs because it’s fenced and it has grass. It’s not a dog park but but it’s a great little spot
I did a search for fenced dog parks in this area and strangely enough this park came up, which has no fenced in areas for dogs. It is a human park and has some nice grass, but dogs have to be on leash in this area.
This is NOT a fenced in park, google maps has this incorrect. Dogs need to be on leash, dog owners need to be responsible for their dogs staying in the park (and not in the resident yards along the park, RIP the chickens)
This is nice family park.
It looks really inviting!
