Island Dog Park, located in the heart of Stevensville, Maryland, offers a welcoming space for local pups and their owners to play and socialize. This dog park stands out for its large, fully fenced areas designed specifically for both small and large breeds, providing peace of mind for owners and room for dogs to roam off-leash. The park is wheelchair accessible, features shaded spots for hot days, and offers a friendly, community atmosphere that dog lovers will appreciate.
Owners will find a single covered pavilion with benches and seating to relax while their pups play. There’s a bone-shaped pool for dogs to cool off and plenty of space to run and explore, though the park can get muddy after rain. Parking is available, and there’s a children’s playground within walking distance, making it a great spot for families. Island Dog Park is an excellent destination for off-leash fun in Stevensville, MD.
Great open space, friendly atmosphere. Not too many amenities for dog owners but there is one older bench that converts to a picnic table. A single covered pavilion with benches and a port a john that is clearly not regularly maintained.
For the pups, there are 2 sections. One for smaller dogs and one for larger. Fair amount of parking and a great playground for children in close proximity (walking distance).
First time there a month ago. A friend suggested it. So glad she did. We go every morning that we are visiting the boat. I love the shaded area!! The bone pool is awesome though my young pup won’t lay down in it yet, she prefers to stand. She loves playing with all her new friends and looks forward to seeing them there.
An awesome dog park!!
Gets muddy sometimes. Last two times I’ve gone there have been aggressive dogs there. Otherwise it is a nice park. They have a large dog area and separate small dog area.
I love the shade, I love how big it is for lots of exploring. My only complaint is that there is to much dog poop not picked up.
The people are so lovely here, and there is hardly a spat between dogs. I say hardly because we just don’t know what our furry friends might do.
Great place to take your dog(s)! There is one larger fenced in area for large dogs and a smaller fenced in area for smaller dogs. The larger area has a covered section with benches. Plenty of space for the dogs to run.
