Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Liberty Dog Park is a small, urban dog park located at 8 Park Ave in the heart of Baltimore, MD. Perfect for city-dwellers and visitors, this park offers a convenient stop for dog owners looking for a quick break or a longer play session. The park is open 24/7, making it ideal for those with unpredictable schedules or needing an early morning or late-night walk. Its central location is surrounded by easily accessible roads, helping more Baltimore dog owners take advantage of its amenities.
What sets Liberty Dog Park apart is its long, fenced-in layout, allowing energetic dogs to truly stretch their legs with laps and playtime. The park is popular with friendly and attentive dog parents, and many pups enjoy the water spout with a bowl provided inside. While the park is generally kept clean, users should be aware that the dirt surface can get muddy after rain and at times there may be debris that owners are encouraged to clean up. Large openings at the bottom of the fence can be a concern for small dogs, so extra supervision is recommended. For those seeking pet-friendly parks in Baltimore, Liberty Dog Park offers accessibility and convenience right in downtown.
Small dog park located in the city which is convenient for when I’m passing through the city. My dog is super picky about where he goes and there’s usually no one there.
I used to drive past it so many times, and I thought it was just a fence. Would be cool if they could paint it colorful to attract more dog owners and life to the city.
Great long park. Love the dirt and length of the park, but I hate that it’s sandwiched by roads (luckily they aren’t too busy) and when it rains, the dirt gets awfully muddy in the middle of the park so be mindful. Otherwise the dog parents that come see very nice & social. most dogs get along and if they don’t, parents are very attentive. It’s a great length for your dog to do laps and to really stretch their legs.
I didn’t like it but my dog did. Holes at bottom of parts of the fence so be careful. They say to keep your dog on a leash but that defeats the purpose of a dog park. There was poop everywhere and the patchy grass was pointless. They should redo with turf because the sand or whatever you want to call it gets muddy. And on top of everything it’s smack dab in the middle of a busy road. Save your time and go somewhere else.
Love that this place is open 24/7, is fairly clean, and easily accessible. A few times we’ve had to clean up glass bottles that were intentionally busted inside the fence, but other than that it is usually pretty clean. My dog loves the water spout with the bowl under it, and the double gates on each end make me feel more comfortable and less worried about my dog accidentally getting out.
This dog park is not safe for little dogs. The opening at the bottom the gate is wide enough for a small dog to squeeze under. Today I was picking up my dog’s poop and in under 30 seconds she went under the gate and fell into the street. By the grace of God my baby did not get hit as the dog park is in the middle of 2 roads. Why aren’t rocks or impediments around the fencing? I will be calling and complaining daily.
