🐾 Kids at the Dog Park: Real Stories, Safety Risks & Smarter Solutions
If you’ve spent time at an off-leash park, you’ve probably seen it:A parent strolls in with a stroller 🚼 or […]
Ocean Pines Dog Park offers a convenient spot for local residents and their furry friends to enjoy some off-leash time in a secure, private setting. This members-only dog park is located in Ocean Pines, MD, and is well-maintained with a mulch surface and tools available to fill in holes, ensuring a clean and safe environment. While primarily for members, the park features a wheelchair-accessible parking lot, making it accessible for individuals with mobility challenges.
Though the park has received mixed reviews regarding its exclusivity to members and overall atmosphere, its well-kept grounds, availability of dog toys, and attentive maintenance make it stand out as a top choice for Ocean Pines dog owners. While security measures such as cameras are in place, they contribute to the park’s safe and orderly environment.
Nice place. People arent so friendly though. Why call it a public dog park when it is a members only park??
THIS IS A PRIVATE DOG PARK. Not sure why people are so elitist when it comes to their dogs. I let my dog walk to the fence to at least touch noses with the other dogs; the owners were inside sitting in a circular. They all saw me and no one invited us in. Apparently their sense of self worth is tied to excluding lonely puppies from their precious park? Pretty pathetic.
I recently visited Ocean Pines Dog Park during my vacation with my furry friend. I found this place on Google while searching for a nearby dog park. As I drove there excitedly, I was shocked to discover that this is a private facility and membership is required on restricted government property. This policy excludes travelers and their pets who simply want to enjoy the park. As a taxpayer in this state, I find it unfair that my taxes are funding a place that is not open to all. The park even seemed unwelcoming with security cameras everywhere. I urge the Governor of Maryland to investigate this exclusionary policy at Ocean Pines Dog Park.
I have passes to the new OC and this park now. I won’t be renewing the OC one next year. I don’t usually like mulch parks but this one is pretty well maintained and feels cleaner than others I’ve been to. So many toys available and I appreciate the tools to help fill in the holes too.
Like everything in this area you need a key to get in. Sheesh! There were 2 people there, each with a dog. You’d think one of them might have offered to let my dog and I in. Seriously, it’s broad daylight and neither of us are that scary!!!!
