This park is simply beautiful during the fall as the foliage turns colors. It was a cloudy and rainy day but the burst of colors made it worth visiting.
The lake is beautiful and is somewhat of a horseshoe shape. I love the seating and views along the lakeside trail.
There is a playground for children 10 and under. I say that because the equipment is not for older kids. They have 3 pavilions, two are large and the smaller one is near the lake. There are restrooms near pavilions.
You can also rent kayaks by downloading an app.
I absolutely love the trail but it has small asphalt like gravel but there is also a 1/4 mile asphalt trail in park. The trail can also be used as bike trail.
I highly recommend visiting this park/recreation area if in Batavia.

Used to be a great place to bring the family, but now the playground is falling apart. The big slide has been blocked off for a while and now the set of stairs in the middle is gone. Making the slides inaccessible to smaller kids who can’t climb the ladders. Wish someone would fix this.

Nice place to take a break from driving and have a picnic. Many areas to walk trails, had my mother with me, so I didn’t get to use the trails.

One of my favorite places in Batavia. So pretty and nice for walks and bikes rides, especially now that it connects to the Ellicot trail. Decent playground and pavilions. Good place to catch sunfish. The parks department puts on some neat programming here sometimes.

I love the views of the water and fishing with my dad. They have made great improvements on the park. Downside, no dogs allowed. My mom. Use to walk her dog there all the time but you no longer can.
