Apart from being one of the cleanest parks in the area, Accokeek East Community Park offers plenty of activities for everyone. Loved it! One of the cleanest and well kept parks in the area!
Clean park, folks normally have a party or playing soccer. Kids love the playground and swings. There are benches & tables around the playground for seating for parents/adults to supervise kids while at play. Big grassy fields, bike/walking trails & basketball/tennis courts. This park has Porta potties on site as well. Even trash 🗑 cans to dispose of waste. Bring a ball of your choice, bat, mitt or just your kids and their sure to burn some energy. Hidden gem in PG County.
It’s okay I guess, it doesn’t have the newest equipment but the area is quiet and clean. I exercise out there regularly and every once in awhile you find “questionable” items but anybody can go to any park and leave the same things. Try it out, it’s a nice open space, great for the kids, has a decent basketball court , and has a really nice Pavilion if you want to barbecue.
The only thing I do not like about this park is how secluded it is. Its a great place to practice lay ups, or walk the trail, while the little ones play on the playground. There are tables there if you want to bring lunch or snacks for the kids.
I took my dog to this park today to let her run around and get some exercise. I went around 1pm and there was only 1 other person there walking their dog so I picked a great time to go!!
