The animals you find on the trail are awesome, it’s well keep for a park in st.johnsbury, me and my partner go there all of the time, it’s our favorite place in town to go sight seeing. It’s very very long and you can visit any time of year, it doesn’t usually get too icy. People bike and walk they’re dogs but for the most part it’s pretty clean, you will find the occasional doggy bag unfortunately.

Highly recommend this amazing rail trail. An excellent ride through Vermonts countryside with farms, meandering rivers, and wetlands throughout. We split the 93 mile trail up over two days.

Great trail system! The parking at Saint J is big enough for about 10 to 12 cars so parking with a trailer might get a little tight if it is busy. We did biking here in July on a Sunday and it wasn’t to crowded. The trails are well maintained with benches though out the trail for breaks and a occasional picnic area. From Saint Johnsbury it is mainly up hill so coming back is a breeze. A great place to burn some energy.
