If you’re searching for a spacious and pet-friendly dog park in Sidney, OH, look no further than the Dog Park at Deam Park. Conveniently located off Lunar St, this park offers shaded areas, plenty of room for dogs to run, and two separate fenced pens for both small (under 30lbs) and large dogs. With accessible parking and clearly posted rules, it’s a local favorite for dog owners looking to let their pets enjoy some off-leash exercise.
Deam Park provides helpful amenities like a unique dog water fountain (operational in warmer months), seating for owners, and complimentary doggy poop bags—perfect for keeping your visit comfortable. While the park is loved for its shady, relaxed setting and friendly community, visitors should be aware of issues with pet waste, particularly on the small dog side, so keep an extra close eye on your pup and your surroundings. This Sidney dog park is a convenient spot for off-leash fun and making new canine friends in a welcoming, accessible outdoor space.
Super nice dog park in a shady area of a big Sidney park.
Nice park. plenty of room for dogs to run. Nala Loved it
There’s a whole dug under fence dogs can get thru to each other there’s dog doo doo everywhere have to watch where u walk on small dog side and last but not lease there’s a man with a pitbull that lives close that brings dog off leash and says oh he doesn’t bite !
Took our dogs to the park today and couldn’t even stay due to having dog poop everywhere on the small dog side. Come on people they give you the bags, be a responsible dog owner and clean up after your dogs.
Adequate space for dogs to run and play. Two separate pens, one for dogs under 30lbs, the other for larger dogs. 🐶
Good signage posted as well, and doggy poop bags provided at the park.
💧There is also a water fountain with a dog basin that fills and empties simultaneously so that your dog isn’t drinking other dogs’ saliva. Great feature there. Obviously it only runs in warmer months so keep that in mind if you visit in winter.
💩🐾There’s a whole lot of dog poop lying about – many dog owners don’t clean up after their pets, so unfortunately it’s a breeding ground for parasites and viruses. If your dog likes to roll in or mouth poop, do not bring them here to play, as it will get them sick. Also keep in mind that their paws will get full of poop as well.
All in all, it’s an adequate space with some nice features, but the poop left by poorly attended dogs is everywhere. Unless the ground is absolutely frozen solid, I wouldn’t recommend bringing your dog here, simply for that reason.
