This trail would be considered easy but hiking enthusiasts. It’s about 1 mile each way. The trail follows the Conestoga River. The trail is completely paved so it can be used by runners and cyclists. Several spots to park throughout the entirety of the trail. Pets are allowed but must be leashed.

If you are looking for a nice paved path that’s mostly flat than this is the trail for you! It has a few rolling hills but they are extremely mild. It’s a great trail for little legs and older people because there are lots of benches to rest on along the entire path. The trail follows the river on one side and the other side is a verity of scenery from trees to houses to flat fields. It rained over 2 inches yesterday but this path was nice and dry. It’s probably about 1.5 – 1.8 miles total from the parking lot to the end and back. My iPhone said I had walked .9 miles when we reached the end but that was my total walking for the day. If you are extremely short on time or with someone that is not in good physical shape you can park another car at the end for about a .7-.8 mile walk one way. There is even a place to park that is in the middle of the trail. About the first .3-.4 miles is completely shaded then it’s intermittent shade followed by full sun at the end. There are no public bathrooms in the parking lots or on the path. You can definitely take a stroller or wheelchair normally on the path. Today there is a large tree down across the path so if you need to push a stroller or wheelchair I’d recommend waiting a while until it’s removed. You currently have to go through the tree you can’t go around it or just over it you have to bend over and go through it. I’d imagine it’s well maintained and hopefully the tree will be removed soon. Also, if you like geocaching there are 4 geocaches hidden on this trail. Enjoy!

A very nice, relatively short 1.5 mile (40 min) trail by the water. Some part is by the road. I started in the Duke parking lot and was planning to go to Pointe park but the last 0.5 mile is through town. The trail is nice but no single garbage disposal or restrooms, even a porta potty.
