The park is nice, plenty of trees for shade on those picnic adventures. Pavilions for parties, trails for walking, biking, skating or whatever you would like to do. There were plenty of E-scooters for rent throughout the park.
One of the best features in my opinion is the beach. The beach was clean and in it’s natural state.
There are cliffs at the end of the beach that are beautiful, we walked in the water around the cliffs and at the deepest was 4ft. There were a few other small hidden beaches in between the cliffs.
Definitely worth the visit.
Landlocked, but feeling the need for an ocean fix? Come to this park for a sunset as beautiful as you’d see over the Indian Ocean or South China Sea.
The water was awesome. The kids all had a great time as did the adults. We got a good tan. There wasn’t a lot of shade but I didn’t go to the beach for shade. It wasn’t too deep for the little kids but got deep enough out further for the big kids filled with fun, laughter and joy. The beach was clean, free of dead fish or garbage. Pretty good for finding Beach glass and cool looking rocks.
Fantastic park with picnic tables, benches & access to a nice sandy beach. The access is via heavy duty steel stairs. The beach has a mixture of sand, rocks & lots of drift wood. There is a slate & shale cliff area that is really pretty. I love Lake Erie with the breeze and the waves, it is absolutely gorgeous 😍
I found beach glass and a few cute rocks to take home to Florida.
As someone who frequents this location for beach glass collecting, I can’t say I’m disappointed with it.
The beach is about as clean as you’d expect for a Lake Erie beach. They do their best to clean it during the tourist season.
The park is severely lacking in shade due to an issue with the trees, but there are new trees planted in their place with the effort of restoring the park to it’s natural beauty.
If you’re looking for beach glass, this is the place to do it. The right conditions will provide you with some gifts from the lake that are sure to bring you delight.
