If you’re searching for a clean, convenient dog park in Princess Anne, Maryland, the Princess Anne Rest Area is a great spot to stretch your legs with your pup. Situated just off Route 13, this pet-friendly stop is easy to access whether you’re traveling north or south, and has a reputation for being well-maintained. Surrounded by mature evergreen trees, it provides a peaceful, shaded atmosphere for a quick break or picnic with your dog. Ample parking makes it easy for motorists, including those towing vehicles or driving pickups, to stop and unwind.
While not a dedicated off-leash dog park, dogs are allowed at the rest area, and there are eating tables outside and drinking fountains available. The rest area also offers clean restrooms, a small information center, and plenty of open space to walk your dog on-leash. It’s a lovely alternative to busy gas stations, with tranquil surroundings and plenty of room to roam. Whether you’re passing through or planning a rest, this stop is the perfect pet-friendly break along your road trip route.
Somewhat clean. Eating tables outside. Dogs allowed. Easy on and off from Route 13.
6NOV.2024 Clean and well maintained rest area. Clean bathrooms and decent parking areas for vehicles that are towing, pick ups and others.
This is definitely the place to stop if you need a break.
As rest stops go this is a very good one. Plenty of parking and a great deal of info for travelers. Excellent bathroom and clean. No one on duty but still worth a visit. Drinking fountain outside.
It’s definitely a place to stop, but it felt very old and the restrooms are a little rough. The little information center was interesting but If you are headed southbound the Virginia Welcome center is only like 20 minutes further down the Road and is overall much nicer.
we always stopped here on our trips from NY-NC and it was always clean! the bathrooms did smell pretty strongly of bleach, but the smell of bleach was heavenly compared to some of the other rest areas we’d been to. and the bathrooms may be old, but the stalls aren’t directly next to each other! they’re like private little cubicles. also, the whole rest area is surrounded by giant evergreen trees. it’s a lovely place for a quick break from the highways and gas stations.
