While there isn’t a dedicated dog park or fenced area for off-leash play, the trail is a popular spot among locals and visitors for on-leash walks with their dogs. Amenities include plentiful parking, portable restrooms, and a small playground for children, making it an accessible and family-friendly stop. This is at mile marker 104 very nice part of the trail there is little parking after this marker until about mile 95. 110 is cedar creek and 114 is west newton.
Rode from Whitsett to Connellsville. The trail was expertly maintained, smooth and clear. The trees in some places form a lovely tunnel over the trail. Plenty of bike tuning stations along the way. Connellsville is surprisingly beautiful.
Uhh, not much to do here compared to other parks. Better off to cedar creek park. This is a child’s playground.
This is a good place to park your car, and continue walking or biking on Great Allegheny Passage. There is plenty of space. Old plaque will tell you the history of former coal mining patch of Whitsett. There are portable toilets near the sport field. Small playground for kids is right next to the parking. It’s pretty nice
