In terms of dog park amenities, this one is pretty bare, especially if you compare to parks like the Shirlington dog park, or the parks in Rockville, like Cabin John (we’re dog park frequenters). On my first visit: the water was turned off for the winter, there were no dog bowls and no bags provided. However, it was clean, the gravel/rock was a great selection for the park that was easy on my dog’s paws and doesn’t get him all muddy. Even though it’s pretty bare, it’s only of the only dog parks in this area, so I appreciate that it’s here at all and the owners I met there are very friendly. And my dog actually loved it more than the fancier dog parks we’ve visited; I think he was more social because it’s small, I think he felt more comfortable. It was also clean. So we’ll be going back. It will probably be our first pick on the weekends.

A simple, clean neighborhood dog park frequented by well behaved dogs and considerate owners. It’s a fenced-in gravel area with a couple of benches. We don’t need anything fancy as my dog enjoys herself socializing with the other dogs and convincing dog owners to scratch her butt. Parking is pretty convenient as long as there isn’t anything going on at the ball park. If you’re going to drive to get groceries at Whole Foods, why not bring the dog along for some fun at the dog park while your spouse does the shopping? Win-win.

Went for a long walk with the dogs and found this hidden gem, across the street from Whole Foods. A few benches and a water fountain for the dogs. Park is long and skinny.

Large dog park with a water fountain. Mulch base does very well after the rain, plenty of room for large dogs to run around. Separate area for small dogs & lots of room for humans to sit. No shade but water helps.

Good-sized dog park for being in the city. Next to Whole Foods Market to get your coffee/smoothie/kombucha fix. Two fenced areas – one larger, one smaller, presumably for smaller dogs. Has a water fountain for dogs, a large garbage can 🗑️, and wood chips on the ground.
