If you’re searching for a dog park in Forest Hill, Maryland, that offers scenic trails and plenty of space for walking, Blake’s Venture Park is a great option. While not a traditional fenced-in dog park, this location is known for its connection to the popular Ma&Pa Trail, giving you and your pup access to pet-friendly trails perfect for leashed walks and shaded strolls. The park area is well maintained and features a large sports field, providing a nice spot for dog owners looking to enjoy the outdoors together.
Unique to Blake’s Venture Park is the ease of parking and nearby trail access. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful, mostly shaded Ma&Pa Trail, noted for its friendly atmosphere and beautiful natural scenery. While the park isn’t specifically designed for off-leash play, its proximity to the trails makes it ideal for dog-friendly hiking and casual meetups with other local pet owners.
Field is severely sloped – uphill one way. Bounces are so inconsistent. Field is small. No bathrooms at all, you could walk 300 meters down the road to the trail. Parking is more than adequate for the one field, no problem there. Hope we never have to play here again. Music from neighborhood was awesome though, possible 80s party, saved our day by taking our thoughts away from this horrible field.
This is my favorite trail in the area, even though there are plenty closer to me. It’s well maintained (as are any parts of the Ma&Pa trail). I love that it is mostly shaded (not a sun lover) and people on this trail just seem friendlier. I also appreciate that a lot of the residents along the trail maintain their yards so that trail wanderers have great scenery.
Just a place to park use tje bathroom and hit the trail.
This is a nice park area with a field for sports. There is a path to access the Ma&Pa trail, where you can venture down to a bridge and stream, with lots of flat walking area. Well maintained.
Not much to say. Kids use it for soccer games and practice. Seems to be plenty of parking, there’s a porta potty on site, and the fields are well-maintained
