I took my great grandson fishing in my kayak. He had a great time! Then he played at one of the playgrounds, met one of the park police officers, and thoroughly had a great time. The gates were closed today but this sign was at the head of the road. I just missed the wrong date another sign was in the way!
The trail on this side of the park is very easy. I am extremely out of shape and I had no issues walking the loop. There is a slight incline on your way out no matter which way you go when it first splits. If going left, be sure to bear to the right anywhere the trail splits and you’ll end up back at the parking lot after a nice walk on down to the lake. The trail is wide enough and only gets a little dicey and narrow once you get down to the waters edge. Outside of that it again is very easy, I walked in wearing slides.
