It’s always great to have a place where me and my kids could hang out and play.
Sad park. Bathrooms were locked on a Saturday 3 pm. Hardly any kids. Good amount of trees with shade/ sun.
This park is difficult to review because it has so much potential.
It is really a peaceful place even though it is right by the road. There is a bathroom, drinking fountains, tennis/basketball court and a paved walking trail. It actually is a very nice park.
The catch is there is/was garbage everywhere, and the picnic tables seem to be used as campouts for people who are struggling rather than for their intended purposes. Basically, I wouldn’t recommend being here once it starts getting dark, and I was frankly too scared to go into the bathrooms to see what they looked like.
Having said that, a church activity group was cleaning up all the garbage they could find and putting out really cute rocks they painted while I was there, so I have hope that is can be a good place.
This is a great park for outdoorsy people, there are a lot of trees. I did get hit by a bug on a tree I walked under. There isn’t really a way to not walk under trees. They have bathrooms, basketball court, tennis court, water fountain, and picnic tables. There is also like beach sand in some areas.
We had a wonderful time at Butler park. The kids enjoyed the slide & swing. Our favorite was the clear pond that was there. We could literally see the fishes swimming in the water. There was a local family that was fishing & they were so welcoming & inviting. We all enjoyed the visit to this park.
