I brought my grandkids here and they enjoyed the boat that the kids can get on. We also enjoyed the Nature Center and the animals. Everything is very clean including the many hiking trails that you can walk. The bathrooms are clean too. There are also picnic tables to enjoy a lunch at. The water views and the bridges that take you over them, offer stunning views of the area….Without houses to block your view. Best part about this place is that it is FREE to get in. They offer different events during the year.
Delightful place with a wide variety of turtles and fish in tanks and a convalescing roaming duck inside the building. Staff, especially the ranger, was terrific. Even the bathroom has informative displays. There is a butterfly garden nearby and many easy hikes into the marshes and forests. Although the center closes at 5, the trails are open till sunset.
It’s a nice place to walk just have to be careful, I got back today from walking the trails and found several ticks on my legs. So just look over yourself, kids and fur babies after you’re done.
I love to paddleboard here. It’s free and calm, ample parking, not crowded usually, beautiful, serene, nice launch deck at end of pier though it can be a bit slippery. If you’re looking for excitement maybe not for you but it was everything I was looking for.
We had my granddaughters 2nd birthday 🎈 party at the brand new pavilion outside. The crew was very nice and professional.
The tour inside was phenomenal showing the kids around AND explaining the info around the animals.
We loved it and will visit again and again on regular days. Hope the turkeys and resident duck are out next time.
Great job all!
