Located conveniently at 198-178 Dumbarton Rd in Baltimore, MD, Bark Park offers local dog owners a welcoming place for their furry friends to socialize, run, and play off-leash. This dog park is well-loved by the community for its friendly atmosphere and easy access, giving residents a much-needed spot for pet-friendly adventures near the city.
Bark Park features a fully fenced area where dogs can play safely and even includes some agility equipment for extra fun. Pet owners will appreciate the water sources available to keep pups hydrated after a hard play session. The park tends to get busiest around 5:00 p.m., making it a lively place to meet other dog owners—just be aware that the fence is about 4 feet high, so it’s wise to keep an eye on particularly athletic jumpers. While not as spacious as some other local options, Bark Park is a convenient, free choice for those in the area looking for dog-friendly spaces without a membership fee.
Very small and actually belongs to the apartment complex. Realized at the end that there is a sign for residents only. They do have agility structures, so bring treats. No other dogs there on Sunday early afternoon.
It’s not as spacious as the Lake Roland dog park (which requires membership and a yearly registration fee), but it’s so great to have a place nearby for our dog to interact off leash with other dogs! Best time to go for good action is right around 5:00 p.m.
My first time there with my 6 month old puppy and we had a blast. He was so happy. There were about 20 dogs there in a late Wednesday evening. All the dogs were friendly and got a long great. I would definitely take my dog there again.
The dogs like the park, and the agility structures were actually interesting to one dog that doesn’t like toys. But the fence is only about 4 feet high, and my other dog was halfway over it trying to greet two other dogs who were walking by, before I could grab him. Be careful if you have a big, athletic dog that likes to jump and climb fences!
