We recently adopted 2 kittens. I’m so glad that we chose this shelter to find our new babies. Every single person that we came in contact with was kind and caring. It was easy to see that they are truly passionate about finding loving homes for all of the animals. One of our kittens started sneezing a few days later and I called the shelter to let them know. They had me stop by and pick up antibiotics for both kittens that same day. The staff is amazing. If you’re looking for a new addition to your family, I highly recommend starting at BCAS.
Two little bulldog mixed strays perched on my apartment building steps 1 AM at night as kind and innocent as they could be.
Kept them in my residence for two days before bringing them here from Catonsville.
Staff was sincere and wonderful in accepting these little brothers. 👍🏾
The facility is very clean & orderly. The employees are friendly, helpful, and informative; also providing plenty of helpful literature to take home. The cats (all that I looked at) have nice, & surprisingly spacious accommodations while they await their “Forever home.” Best of all, I found my new buddy Jackson. He’s an adorable one year old Tuxedo cat!! Thanks BCAS!!!
We adopted a 8 months old puppy. He was made to sound like a wild untrainable puppy but he is one amazing guy. House broken in one day , friendly to all even men that we were told he was not good with men. He also doesn’t bark hardly ever n we were told he super vocal. This just goes to show that when the babies are in the shelter they are a different animal probably due to the anxiety they feel. Once home n relaxed in a settled environment they become who they really are. These babies need ppl to take time n energy to spend with them n teach the behavior you want to see in them. We couldn’t be more happy with our baby. Shadow bolt was his name but we renamed him Raae n he answers to his new name. Our new sweet guy is so good. Thank you to all at the shelter that help these babies find new homes.

I’ve adopted many animals over the years through BCAS and I think they do an awesome job with the resources they have as an open intake shelter. They are easy to work with and have come a long way with community outreach programs to get pets adopted and to help owners with pet problems.
