🐾 Kids at the Dog Park: Real Stories, Safety Risks & Smarter Solutions
If you’ve spent time at an off-leash park, you’ve probably seen it:A parent strolls in with a stroller 🚼 or […]
Burns Park Dog Park is a spacious and well-maintained off-leash dog park located conveniently near a freeway exit in North Little Rock, Arkansas. The park features large, separate areas for both small and large dogs, each with double-gated entrances for added security. Visitors consistently praise the shaded landscape filled with pine needles, which keeps things dry even after heavy rain, making it a favorite spot for local dog owners and those passing through on road trips. Accessibility is prioritized with wheelchair-friendly entrances and parking lots, and clean public restrooms are nearby (note: may be winterized seasonally).
This dog-friendly park provides plenty of amenities including fresh water, benches for owners, dog waste bags, and trash bins. The park is kept clean, with most owners picking up after their pets, and offers a safe environment for dogs to socialize. Burns Park is also close to play areas for kids and pet-friendly walking trails, making it an excellent all-around destination for families and their furry companions.
Shaded park with lots of pine needles which helps with the dirt. Easy access from highway. Restrooms close by but winterized in February 2024. Not too much poo that wasn’t picked up.
THIS IS NOT THE OLD PARK.
Beautiful park, both my dog and I have made some friends. The trees attract ticks, but they’re not a huge issue. The park is big, there’s clean water available, plenty of bags to keep the park poop free!
Water is available in two very big troughs, and you can refill it with a direct pump. It’s a safe and large area, feels very secure, and does not get muddy in the rain. I went after a huge storm the night before and the ground was dry. It’s a slight slope so the water runs off, but not so sloped that it makes it hard to walk or run.
One of the best dog parks I’ve been to.
Spacious, clean dog park with plenty of leashed walking paths and clean restrooms nearby. The small and large dog areas are the same size— we appreciate this since our little dogs like to have lots of space to explore. Highly recommend as a spot to stretch your’s and your pup’s legs when on a road trip as it’s near a freeway exit. We made lunch in our van, perused the Little Free Library, and visited the dog park and restrooms before heading back on our way.
Nice park when it’s dry outside. Lots of fenced areas to roam. No grass available, they do provide water, poop disposal bags and a few tennis balls to toss around. Benches provided for pet parents!
Best playground ever!!!!
The doggie park is just past the tennis courts call my very close to restrooms.
There are two doggie parks next to each other. One for big dogs, and the other one for small dogs.
Each has two entrances, which are both double-gated for more security. With one entrance in the front and one in the back of the park. They each have water, doggie bags for the poop and trash cans to put them in, benches for the parents and Friends.
I mostly use the big dog part of the park. And I can tell you the pack that comes to the doggie park is the BEST!!!! Dogs get along, they play amicably, or if they prefer their left alone by the other pack members.
If you’re looking for a doggie park, look no further. This is the one!!!!!
