West Manheim Dog Park in Hanover, Pennsylvania offers a spacious, fully fenced environment for dogs to exercise off-leash. Located at 255 St Bartholomew Rd, it features separate areas for large and small dogs, making it an ideal destination for pet owners seeking a safe, dog-friendly community space. The dog park is part of the broader West Manheim Recreational Park, which includes walking trails, playgrounds, open fields, and pavilions for the whole family to enjoy.
While the dog park is set apart from the main parking area, requiring a moderate walk from the West Manheim Recreational Park lot, dog owners appreciate the park’s sizable grassy fields and the freedom it offers their pets. Note that the park does not provide water fountains for dogs, so visitors should bring their own water. There are portable restrooms available for owners, and the multiple recreational amenities nearby make this spot perfect for anyone looking to combine dog playtime with family fun.
Great place to let your dog enjoy freedom.
Park at the West Manheim Recreational Park. Then, walk past the playground towards the grassy field. There is a wide path (a car could fit through) that goes straight to the dog park with overgrown plants on both sides.
There are two sections of the dog park, so you can split up your dog from the crowd, or split small dogs and large dogs.
Great place to take your dogs. Very large and a side for large dogs and one for small dogs. They have portable restrooms, a playground, soccer field, and plenty of walking trails. Also pavilions and horseshoes
Do not follow Google directions or you will be lost looking for Waterview rd… Google the park itself. When u get there again there are no signs to the dog park. Just leash your pups and walk past the two pavilions using the mowed path. It’s a hike from the pavilions….. but nice big fenced areas. No water sources here however…. bring water with you.
This dog I park is entirely too far down hill for some folks and dogs to walk. They haven’t walk through the playground passed the picnic area and other sport activities. It doesn’t silly water long way to carry water for your dogs especially if they are large. Too much contact space walking down with other dogs. No parking at the dog park older and handicap people can’t access this park. This park should have been put up near the entrance and exit so it would have been access to everyone. O had a bad experience right after ankle surgery they expected me to walk in and out and when I couldn’t my friend got screamed at the driving back to get me after I couldn’t walk out on crutches they just stood there and watched me struggle. Nice dog park but in the wrong space
