Visiting the dog park can be a joyful activity for both you and your furry friend—but aggressive encounters can quickly […]
Discover Laurel Canyon Dog Park, a spacious and fully fenced dog park in Los Angeles, California, nestled at 8260 Mulholland Dr. Known for its expansive off-leash areas, this dog park offers a rare escape where your pup can run free and make new friends in the heart of LA. Easy access, plenty of parking, wheelchair accessibility, and proximity to pet-friendly trails make it a favorite for both locals and visitors looking for dog-friendly activities in Los Angeles.
Dog owners appreciate the dedicated areas for both small and large dogs, so your furry companions can play safely according to their size. While there are ample benches and some natural shade under trees, most of the park is open and can get sunny—so bring a hat or chair for comfort. Owners will find water stations, spray-off areas for dogs, and plenty of trash receptacles, making cleanup a breeze (don’t forget your own poop bags!). The park also features picnic tables, a playground, and is good for kids, making it a perfect family outing spot.
This park would receive a full five stars, if it were not for the massive dog baby sitting groups that will take over benches and set up camp for hours. There’s always plenty of parking and never too busy
Really nice space in the middle of the LA craziness to get away and enjoy nature. Big open area for doggos to run free off leash. Also small dog area if you want to use it. Plenty of areas to sit and also a lot of parking. Porta potties if you need to use them.
Amazing dog park! Fully fenced in and HUGE. Tons of space to run and even when there are a lot of dogs there’s tons of open space. Kind of weird there are some reviews complaining about there being a lot of dogs lol, like it’s a dog park? what do you expect? Anyway this place is great. There’s one spot in the back where the fence is a little lower so if your dog is crafty they could jump over it but in general it’s secure.
We’re from a comparatively small town, so my opinion may not resonate with others. The park was decent size, the containment fence seemed reasonable with no visible escape holes with the exception of the following, the entrance/exit gates were both just single gates so getting in and out was not particularly secure. When we were leaving with our dogs leashed, a dog ran out the gate between our feet with the owner hot on the trail. When I apologized, the owner said it was no problem, that it happens “all the time.” Other than that, the only complaint was the urine smell. It was really prevalent in the park.
It’s a huge dog park. They have water stations. There are benches and chairs. There’s even a place to spray off your dogs. Not a lot of shaded area. I’d say bring chairs to sit under the trees. Also, it’s almost all dirt. Your dog will get dirty. Lots of clean up supplies and trash cans. Even a water bottle fill station. 👍 Very important: BRING DOG POOP BAGS!!! There are trash cans but no dog bag station.
