Located within Lions Park, Central Texas Bark Park is a popular dog park in Temple, Texas, known for its spacious, well-maintained grounds and welcoming pet-friendly atmosphere. With large, securely fenced-in play areas, this is the perfect destination for letting your pups run off-leash, socialize, and enjoy some exercise. The park is especially popular during cooler times of the day and offers a safe, enjoyable spot for both serious training sessions and casual playdates.
This dog park features dedicated areas for both small and large dogs, ensuring a safe environment for every pup. You’ll find agility equipment in great condition, perfect for dogs that enjoy a bit of a challenge. Pet-friendly walking trails of varying lengths (.25, .75, and 1.25 miles) are clearly marked and meander through beautiful open fields—ideal for owners who want to enjoy a relaxing stroll. Although shade and water have been mentioned as limited, the park’s cleanliness, friendly atmosphere, and adjacent kids’ playground make it a great outing spot for the whole family.
This a pretty big perk. We went furring the afternoon time and unfortunately didn’t stay long. It was wayyyy too hot. There was only one small shaded area. And there wasn’t enough water stations for the pups. Texas is too hot for this. Outside of that the park was great. We’d definitely go back but only on certain days.
Located in Lions Park. Nice location to take your dogs to enjoy playtime and/or train. Very nice and clean along with fencing. Update: 23 March, 2025. As the warmer weather comes, the park becomes more active. Well groomed and secure.
Visiting from out of town. Loved the dog park. Loved the kids shaded playground just right next to the dog park. Loved the obstacles.
Wish the water fountain worked better.
It was absolutely perfect for our pups 2d time at a dog park. It was clean, play equipment in great condition and there wasnt a lot of doggy poo around. Well maintained. A big thank you to the few people there. Everyone and fur kids were very friendly. Will absolutely be back.
Central Texas bark park and the lions dog park listed on google maps are the same place. Still a beautiful park. Separated sides for small and large dogs and the park has a great .25, .75 and a 1.25 mile trail clearly marked on the park map. There’s a huge playground from what I could see and PLENTY of open fields and parking. The restrooms that I saw along the trail did not look very pleasing but then again I didn’t go inside and there may be more over by the baseball field side. Overall beautiful and fun park for anyone!
