Not exactly easy to walk or bike to when traffic on Royal Oaks is heavy.

The paved section needs to be a bit wider.

People don’t use it how it’s supposed to be. Walk on the right side. They weave everywhere which makes biking the kids to school and back home that much harder.

Middle schoolers have thrown rocks at each other hitting other people. The school and city won’t do anything about a short presentation to the kids about common courtesy on the trail.

Dogs off leash have also been an issue. Or those 20 feet leashes extending across the width of the paved and dirt trail.

Just biking to the trail, drivers are aggressive, pass when I’m signaling I’m about to turn left and they have the double yellow line. If you want to be a bit speedy, go on Huntington.

This trail is about an hour walk that starts close to Monrivia to all the way to the Roal Oaks Park from east to wesr. On the north is Bradbury if walk few blocks to the east, you will see Encanto Park and San Gabriel Trail which goes 34 miles to the Seal Beacb. No other bike path in LA is next to the mountains. It’s also crowded. People walk and bike together. It’salso breezy even in 95 deg F hot weather. Highly recommended! I came twice after my camcer diagnosis. Felt better after both times.

This is a very easy hike, but with the most amazing view. You can walk all the way to Royal Oaks Park. Very pleasant trail and not very busy. I was there about 11:30 am and there were a few people and very shady so the temperature stayed cool. If you are looking for an easy and pleasant hike, this is definitely one of those.
